Carbon High Skills USA Goes "Green"

Written by  Megan Dayley

The Skills USA club at Carbon High School has done many things this year to help around the community, and "Going Green" is one of them.

The club is asking the community this month to help with the green initiative by recycling its empty ink cartridges and soda cans.

Club Advisor Salley Stewart said isn't hard to recycle.

"It's so easy to recycle those kinds of things," she said. "It's sad to think that people just throw them away so they can sit in a landfill. Those kinds of things won't disintegrate over time. We have a way to recycle them and we would like to."

The club is asking schools and anyone in the community to bring their ink cartridges and cans to Stewart's room (A-15) at Carbon High School.
